Joining Gateway to Housing

Any property owner or manager with rental units in the Greater Charleston area is eligible to join the GTH network. Many of our supported-applicants utilize a rental assistance program to pay their monthly rent. To ensure sustainable tenancies, we screen our partners for affordability and quality. All our partners sign a Membership Agreement, granting them access to list their units in our network and utilizing our benefits!

Renting to GTH-Supported Households

After listing your units in our database, you’ll receive applications submitted by local case managers on behalf of households in need. Each applicant will include a standardized GTH Cover Letter summarizing their rental assistance, support services, and rental history to streamline your leasing process.

Once you approve an applicant, their case manager will guide them through every step of the lease-up process, including move-in coordination. The case manager will notify GTH staff upon a successful move-in, enabling our team to connect with you and begin processing any eligible bonuses.

Throughout the tenancy, our dedicated team is available to provide resources, mediation, and ongoing support to address any challenges that may arise.
